How do I upload an HTML template?
There are two ways of inserting HTML code for templates. If you’re using the template as a once-off, you can upload it in the editing panel using our Classic composition method:
- Hover over Email in the left-hand navigation and click Create Email.
- Click on the Classic icon at the top of the screen and click Next. This will take you to the Message Properties tab.
- Enter your email details and click Next. This will take you to the Classic email builder.
- Click the Source icon on the WYSIWYG action bar.
- Paste your HTML into the source code.
- Switch back to your normal view by clicking the Source icon.
- Click Save.
To add a permanent template that you’ll use regularly:
- Hover over Email in the left-hand navigation and click Templates.
- Click New in the top right to create a template.
- Populate the necessary message properties. You can also pre-define the list that the template will be regularly sent to using the Contact Lists tab.
- In the HTML tab, click the Source icon in the WYSIWYG editor.
- Paste the HTML into the source code.
- Switch back to your normal view by clicking the Source icon.
- Use the WYSIWYG action bar, you can also upload and insert images into your message, change text, and insert personalisation.
- Click Save.
Alternately, use the Classic composition method to compose the body of the message, insert images, and edit text. It’s advisable to enable a text version of the message in the Text Version tab, just in case some of your subscribers aren’t able to receive HTML emails.
Be sure to upload all images and insert them into your mail if your images aren’t stored on an external server.
