Overview
Our WordPress Forms Plugin allows you to publish your subscription forms on your WordPress-hosted website.
Our WordPress plugin allows you to browse your subscription forms in WordPress, generate a short code, and easily publish forms to your website. To set up the Forms Plugin, follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the Plugin
Download the plugin file by right-clicking on this link and clicking Save Link As. Save it somewhere on your computer that’s relevant and easy to remember.
Step 2: Install & Activate the Plugin
Navigate to the Installed Plugins page in the back-end of your WordPress site and:
- Click on the Add New button next to the Plugins page title.
- Click on the Upload Plugin button next to the page title.
- Click Choose File to browse for the plugin that you just downloaded.
- Click Install Now.
- On the plugin install page, click Activate Plugin.
Step 3: Set up the API
You should now see the Everlytic Forms plugin in the list on your Plugins dashboard. To set up the API between your site and our system:
- Click on the Settings link on the plugin.
- On a separate tab in your browser, log in to our system. Hover over your user name in the top-right navigation bar and click on Users & Access Rights. Copy your API Username and API key from the Authentication section in our system.
- Paste this into the relevant sections on the API Settings page back on your WordPress site.
- For the Customer Name, use your company name.
- For the API URL, go back to the browser tab where you’re logged into our system and copy the browser URL text after the https:// and before the next forward slash. e.g. live4.everlytic.net.
- Click Save Changes.
Step 4: Generate, Paste, and Publish the Form Shortcode
To get the shortcode so you can put the form on your website:
- Click on the Everlytic Forms button in the left-hand navigation in WordPress. This page will display a list of all the forms you’ve published with our system. If you haven’t created a subscription form yet, this page will be blank.
- In this list, find the form you want to use in your WordPress site and click the Create Shortcode button below it.
- Copy the entire code, including the square brackets, and paste it into the web page that you want the form to be on.
- Publish the web page. The form should now be embedded on that web page.
